Pupils as Leaders

At Askwith Primary School, we believe it is important that all children have the opportunity to be leaders and role models to others. This helps them to build resilience, independence and gives them a public voice, both in our school and across the schools in YCAT.

Children have opportunities to be a class representative, a role which requires responsibility both in the classroom and the playground. As a class representative, children also become members of the school eco-committee. This is a role which requires them to think about the impact they have on the environment and the wider world and to encourage other members of the class and school community to make positive changes for the wider community.

The children in Year 6 also have the opportunity to be voted to be school ambassadors. The ambassadors take part in meetings with children from other schools across our academy and then feed back the outcomes of these meetings to the children at Askwith.

Children's Notice Board

This is a place for all of the children at Askwith Primary School to find out what is happening in school.
