PTA

The school has a thriving Parent Teacher Association which supports the school for the benefit of the children, parents and teachers; and also raises extra funds.

Parental help for special activities is greatly appreciated. For example: class topics, concerts, visits etc.

The P.T.A. provide major support for school visits and equipment.

PTA 'Reach New Heights' campaign - Summer 2024

The Askwith PTA believes in providing our children with every opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. That's why we're thrilled to announce the launch of our "Reach New Heights" campaign! This campaign aims to raise £5,000 for outdoor learning equipment and other items that foster creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning in our school. Equipment will include nature exploration kits, larger equipment to support gross motor development and planters.

DT Challenge - Community Judges!

Fruit Donations to Local Farmers

Years 1 and 2 decided that their leftover fruit shouldn't go to waste, so they decided to donate any fruit to the local farmers for their animals to eat. Mr and Mrs Dibb said "Thank you to Year 1 and Year 2 for all the fruit and vegetables - the hens absolutely loved them!".

Askwith Tree Planting: Tuesday 29th March 2022

As part of the Queen's Green Canopy initiative and to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we were lucky to find an opportunity in Askwith to plant over 100 saplings in partnership with The Woodland Trust.

The children had a wonderful time planting the trees! Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered their time and expertise, including Mrs Crabtree for her beautiful photos.

PTA Christmas Fayre

Thank you to everyone who was involved with the highly successful PTA Christmas Fayre on Saturday. A tremendous £690 was raised. The home baking that was not needed in the café, was donated to Otley Action for the Elderly and was gratefully received.

The PTA raised a further £163 from a raffle held at the Nativity performance.

Pumpkins

The Halloween disco was organised by the PTA. As part of the celebrations, children carved and decorated pumpkins for a competition and these were then used to decorate the room for the disco.
